Presented and supported by the ACT Government through artsACT, The MusicACT Professional Development Program supports emerging and established artists and industry workers through a suite of free professional development opportunities and events.
In 2024, MusicACT is presenting a cohesive calendar of professional development events and initiatives. Follow along as we trace the artist journey from the first sparks of inspiration, to the creation of musical works to bringing them alive for audiences.

PART 2: FUELING CREATIVITY | JUNE - SEP
We’re facilitating hands-on workshops, mentorships and activities for you to gain practical skills and connect with your music peers and wider industry in real working environments.
PART 1: THE SPARK | FEB - MAY
Get inspired. We provide participants with an inspiration toolbox for creative connection and their own releases; hearing from established artists and industry workers alike.
PART 3: LIVE & ALIVE | OCT - DEC
We're hosting monthly events on live music to help participants grasp the industry's complexities, covering topics from insurance, to mental health tips for live performance.
