APRA AMCOS x MusicACT: Connect Sessions

Saturday 13 June, 10am - 2pm AEST

This three-hour masterclass is your entry point into understanding how sound and movement work together. Whether you come from a contemporary music or movement background, this session will offer stories, practical tips, and honest advice from artists who know the craft inside and out.

Sound artist Robin Fox, composer Megan Alice Clune, and MusicACT's Sia Ahmad join Alison Plevey and Sara Black from Australian Dance Party to pull back the curtain on their creative processes - exploring composition, collaboration, and the art of designing sound for dance, theatre, and gallery installation. If you've ever wondered how to bring sound to a physical space or a moving body, this is where to start.

Phoenix Central Park + MusicACT
2026 Industry Mentorship

Are you curious about all the moving parts and decisions involved when working within a high level, music-centred performance venue?

Alongside MusicACT's Aaron Crowe, spend a performance week embedded with the team at Sydney’s acclaimed Phoenix Central Park, learning all there is about their operation, from program curation to event marketing, technical production to the audience experience.

Applications are now open for this opportunity and close 5pm, Wednesday 27 May. This opportunity is open to music industry workers currently living in the ACT.

Applicants will find out about the final decision by Monday 1 June.

To support participation, the successful applicant will receive a $1000 stipend and $150 travel allowance.
