Saturday, 7 December 2012, MusicACT held its Inaugural Annual Music Awards. Never before had Canberra’s brilliant, burgeoning and diverse scene been celebrated with such ceremony, and never before had so many genres – from classical to jazz, choral to folk, country to rock to electronic – been united for one hell of a party. Albert Hall, shimmering with kaleidoscopic colour, was lifted to spectacular heights. It was the ACT music industry’s night of nights, and we want you to be a part of the next one.

After a stellar night of performances, awards and dancing, MusicACT thank and congratulate every person who contributed, submitted or attended the MAMAs. Together, we volunteered and put ACT music on the national map. And we’ve got the talent to keep people listening.

Awards shouldn’t just be about the winners. Yes, they’re amazing and deserve attention, but they develop in a town where we learn from each other. Every person who submitted is valuable and MusicACT congratulate them following their passion. Stay active – that’s is how we will enliven our capital.

Enjoy the highlights, flashmob and the list of all our talented winners!
